mypolitics is built so that the least possible amount of you travels with your opinion. This page is the whole policy — no annexes, no lawyer maze.

What we collect

  • Your daily mood vote — stored as one anonymous count in that day’s bucket.
  • Your email, only if you join the waitlist. Your browser also keeps a yes-or-no mark that you joined — not the address — so we stop asking on your next visit.
  • A one-way fingerprint that stops the same person voting twice in a day. Your IP address and browser user-agent are mixed with a secret value and stored only as an irreversible hash. The raw IP address is never written down.
  • Anonymous page-view counts, through Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to other sites — it tells us which pages get read, not who read them.

What we never collect

  • Your name, phone number, or location.
  • Advertising identifiers, or any cross-site tracking script.
  • Anything that lets us turn a stored vote back into a person.

Your vote

Votes exist only as aggregates. The count resets at midnight IST and yesterday’s tallies are kept as totals, never as individual records. Your browser also remembers which mood you picked today, so the page greets you instead of asking twice — clear your site data and that memory goes with it.

Where it lives

The site runs on Vercel and the database is Neon. Both keep their own infrastructure logs, as any host does.

Questions

Write to hello@mypolitics.in. A person answers. Ask us to delete your waitlist email and we will.
